Safety and Transportation | Waste Management

Waste Management has taken a holistic approach to improving all aspects of safety and environmental compliance. A Transportation Compliance Plan ensures that our company is promoting the safe transportation of waste nationwide.

This plan includes random truck inspections at our landfills and transfer stations. Pennsylvania Departments of Transportation (DOT) and Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) criteria are used to conduct the inspections.

Waste Management uses computer-based tracking systems to ensure compliance with both federal regulations and our own high standards. These programs apply to Waste Management employees and drivers and improve compliance standards among third-party hauling companies and their drivers.

The success we have experienced to date at Alliance Landfill is due to the effort of all Waste Management employees. From the mechanics and drivers to upper management, we have set our environmental compliance and safety goals high, and work continuously to achieve and exceed them. The results are evident in all areas of operation at Alliance Landfill.
